The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), in collaboration with the Business Research and Training Centre (BRTC) of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), hosted the “Lingyun Plan” Cross-border Study Tour Programme for 19 outstanding students from various majors at Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST) from January 26 to 28, 2026.

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Liu Weijuan, Director of the Student Aid Management Center of the Student Work Department at SDUST, thanked UM for the meticulous arrangements and expressed her hope that students would cherish this rare learning opportunity to broaden their horizons and increase their knowledge. Professor Matthew Liu, Director of CCE, expressed his hope that the faculty and students of SDUST would learn more about UM and Macao, and welcomed them to return for future exchanges. Two specialized lectures, “Cross-Cultural Communication and Global Vision” and “Global Leadership and Strategic Management,” were delivered entirely in English by senior UM faculty. In their group summary presentations, students stated that they experienced the high-quality teaching of UM’s international faculty and were deeply impressed by the beautiful campus.

Founded in 1951, Shandong University of Science and Technology is a key high-level university in Shandong Province with distinct characteristics in engineering and a coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, management, literature, law, economics, arts, and education.

CCE and BRTC plan to launch more high-quality training projects in the future to strengthen cooperation and exchange between Chinese mainland universities and UM.
