During November 29 to 30, University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) co-organized with Business Research and Training Centre of Faculty of Business Administration (BRTC), held a training course on Leadership Development for 48 students from Jiangsu University.
The training included several lectures, taught in English, topics are “Critical Thinking and Decision Making for Leaders”, “Leadership and Strategic Management” and “How to Nurture Future Leaders in the 21st Century”. The students expressed that they greatly benefited from the trip, gaining new experiences and understanding of UM and Macao with profound and wonderful impressions.
Jiangsu University (JSU) was founded in 1902, sharing the exact origin with Nanjing University, Southeast University, etc. It is a national comprehensive key university under the joint support and instruction of China’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Jiangsu Provincial Government. According to the latest ESI Ranking, JSU improved its ranking from 65 in 2016 to 40 in 2024 among China’s Universities. In the Times Higher Education World University Ranking (2025), JSU comes out 36th out of all universities in Chinese mainland, and in the QS Asian University Ranking (2024), JSU is ranked 32nd in Chinese mainland.
To strengthen cooperation between UM and universities in mainland, CCE and BRTC are continuing to provide qualified training programs for college students in the future.
