During February 10 to 14, the University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) co-organized with Business Research and Training Centre of Faculty of Business Administration (BRTC), held a training course on Business Communication and Leadership for 24 students from Harbin Engineering University and Minzu University of China.

The five-day training course is rich in content and taught in English by UM professors, senior instructors and business elites. The topics include “Business Communication Skills for Leaders”, “How to cultivate future leaders of the 21st century”, “Applied linguistics development and globalization”, and “Global Business Leadership”. Besides the lectures, the participants visited Currency Museum and Mock Casino in FBA. These visits provided them with insights into Macao’s monetary history and its leading industries.

Harbin Engineering University (HEU) dates back to the PLA Military Engineering Institute founded in 1953. In 1994, its name changed to Harbin Engineering University. The school was identified as one of the first batch of key universities in the “211 Project” in 1996, and entered the ranks of the national “Double First-Class” construction in 2017.

Minzu University of China is a university jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government. The school’s predecessor was the Yan’an Nationalities College founded in 1941. In November 1993, it was renamed Minzu University of China; in 1999 and 2004, the school successively entered the national “211 Project” and “985 Project”; in 2017, it entered the ranks of “Double First-Class construction” A-level universities.

To strengthen cooperation between UM and universities in mainland, CCE and BRTC are continuing to provide qualified training programs for college students in the future.
